Sailing area Caribbean
Sint Maarten - Antigua
The Caribbean: A sailors paradise! In the tropical areas you sail in the sun with a blue sky, accompanied by dolphins, whales
and flying fish and enjoying the pleasant temperatures and the fantastic colours of the clear water. Bounty beaches, calm anchor bays,
the most beautiful coral reefs and the "don't worry, be happy" mentality.
In the Caribbean we have two bases. One is the volcanic island Antigua and the second is Saint Martin. From these two
islands you can reach many other places in the Caribbean.
A constant Eastern Passat wind is blowing of 4 till 6 Beaufort. At sea you can expect now and then a tropical rain shower,
most mostly last a short time. At the West side of the islands there is less wind. At this side you can find the most bays and
villages.
At the bigger islands you can buy all provisions you need.
Some of the smaller islands are nothing more then a sandy beach with a few palm trees; the ultimate feeling of a tropical island
in paradise. In contrary some of the other islands has rain forests and waterfalls.
On all islands you can enjoy the local food, the dances salsa and merengue which the colourful inhabitants are dancing
with passion.
The islands are worth visiting and we recommend you to get the experience of the tropical rhythm. Is you like diving, this is
the place to be for you! Every if you just go snorkelling you will discover a lot of the marine life.
